On 27 Nov, Malala & Fawzia Koofi spoke at the March for Freedom, organised by #ActionForAfghanistan & a coalition of 40+ civil society organisations.

Afghan women & girls face restrictions unlike anywhere else: threats, forced marriage, segregation, extrajudicial arrests, denial of due process & right to movement, work & education. This must stop NOW!

📣 Amnesty’s calls to the UK Govt include:

– Support Afghan activists to help protect the rights of women & girls
– Ensure respecting women’s rights is non-negotiable with the Taliban
– Ensure all women & girls are entitled to asylum and can leave safely
– Protect funding to protect & promote women’s rights in Afghanistan

Afghan women & girls’ voices must be heard ✊
