What happened in 2021? Covid-19, conflict and climate change have all played their part in devastating lives. But we saw some moments that don’t often appear in the headlines. A global movement of people have refused to give in –from delivering clean water and food, to fundraising in their local town, volunteering in their local shop, or travelling the length of the UK on foot for climate justice. These are our favourite moments of activism and optimism in 2021. To everyone who took a stand against poverty and inequality – we say thank you.
