Verina speaks about running the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon in aid of Oxfam.
The London Marathon is one of the most famous and prestigious charity fundraising events in the world, set over a largely flat course around the River Thames.
Verina wanted to run the marathon to take on the challenge and inspire her young daughters, as well as to prove to her work colleagues that if she could complete it anyone could. She was inspired to run for Oxfam by her late uncle and Oxfam’s work providing water and it’s response during emergencies.
