What to do with old poppies?

Now that Remembrance Day is gone, what can you do with your poppies?

The good news is: Poppies are recyclable. You can recycle your poppy at any Sainsbury’s supermarket for 2 weeks after Armistice Days.

The Royal British Region says, that all of the parts of their poppies can be recycled. “We are committed to reducing the impact our poppies have on the environment and are working to remove all single use plastic in the future”.

For the future, you might also think of buying enamel poppy pins that can be worn instead of a paper poppy. You can then choose to make a donation to the appeal every year.
