The USA is an ambivalent country. There are two main ideologies, the liberal and the conservative, but what separates them and why are you a liberal or conservative person? That’s what you’ll find out if you continue reading.
To begin with, liberals and conservatives have a dissimilar thinking style. In the brain of a liberal, the Anterior cingulat cortex is well developed. This part of your brain is responsible for understanding and monitoring conflicts. That’s why liberals are more social than conservative who have a bigger Amygdola in their brains. Due the Amygdola they are more structured and faster at processing fear and anxiety. This is a crucial difference, that we should make sure we are aware of.
Because of the structural difference of the brain, these two sides use completely opposing language and arguments. If you speak to a liberal they will address their central ideas of equality and they will feel connected to your arguments. A conservative person, on the other hand, strongly favors a focus on facts and structure. Come to the point with them and use clear and precise language or they won’t hang on your lips. So, understand who you’re speaking to and be prudent in your choice of words.
Finally, there are certain things that influence people in becoming liberal or conservative. The most important of these influences comes from a person’s environment: family, job or friends, because they are the whole time surround you, helps you with decisions and are always there for you. What’s also crucial are your personal experiences, because whatever you go through shapes your brain and contributes to any changes of your way of thinking. That’s why people are different, depending on how they grew up.
To sum it up, whether a person is more liberal or conservative, depends on how developed the parts of their brains are. This is also influenced by a person’s environment. That’s why people think differently about the same content and understand things in a variety of ways.
