5 tips for last-minute DIY Halloween costumes

Boris Johnson / Donald Trump

This year is all about Brexit. Research by Beano found that more than half of British parents and their children aged six to 14 are drawing direct inspiration from Brexit for their Halloween costumes.

Boris Johnson ranked number 10 in kid’s topical Halloween costume choices and makes a great last minute DIY idea. All you need is basically a good suit – the rest is in the hairstyle (or a wig). Same for the Donald Trump costume, which made it in the costume choice list as well (18th).

The Joker

Face paint and green hair dye, maybe combined with a colourful suit – and your costume is ready. The Joker is the 3rd favourite costume choice for British kids and their parents this year.

Umbrella bat costume

You remember this old broken umbrella lying around in your home? It can be cut in half and attached to a hoodie with safety pins for a brilliant creative bat DIY Halloween costume.

Queen of Hearts

A deck of old playing cards make the collar of this great Queen of Hearts costume idea. Together with a red dress and red lipstick, you’re good to go.
